COPAA Asks Congress to Increase the Overall Labor-HHS-Education Budget

This week, COPAA joined the Coalition for Health Funding, Committee for Education Funding, and the Campaign to Invest in America’s Workforce in calling on Congress to increase the 302b allocation for the Departments of Labor, Health and Human Services, and Education and Related Agencies appropriations bill. If appropriators can be persuaded, an increased 302b allocation would provide an overall funding increase in the Fiscal Year 2018 budget they use to mete out funds for the Labor/HHS/Education bill. Such agreement would then make more funds available for critical education/special education programs.  The letter to Senate and House Appropriation Committees included signatures from over 800 organizations.
